Behavioral Health Concepts, Inc. (BHC) was founded by Dr. William Holcomb in 1994 and incorporated in May 1996. Our offices are located in Victoria Park, a modern office complex in Columbia, Missouri. We offer a wide variety of products and services within BHC and through our two main divisions: PMSG and ProSelect. BHC's offices occupy the top floor of 2716 Forum Boulevard and house the BHC main office and PMSG division offices. The main office for ProSelect, Inc., is located in St. Louis, Missouri. We also have regional offices in several other states, including California and Indiana.
 

Since its inception in 1994, BHC has grown into a national consulting and service company. BHC's mission is to provide high quality consulting, research, and specialized services through the expertise of our staff and their dedication to excellence. We specialize in combining the expertise of internal consultants with the talents of external consultants from various backgrounds to deliver comprehensive, quality projects for government, business, and industry under diverse circumstances. Over the years, BHC has experienced tremendous growth. Our full-time staff includes consultants, research and data analysts, project development specialists, support staff, and accounting personnel.

Dr. Holcomb is the President of BHC, Inc., and has more than 24 years of experience in the delivery, administration, and evaluation of health and human service programs. He has published over forty articles and taught graduate level courses in public administration for 10 years, including topics such as program evaluation, strategic planning, performance measurement, and benchmarking for public services. He received both his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and Masters in Public Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia, as well as an MBA from the University of Chicago's Executive MBA Program. Dr. Holcomb is licensed as a psychologist and has earned recognition as a Diplomate of Forensic Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychologists. Among other positions, he has been superintendent of a large state hospital, state director of program evaluation for mental health services, and CEO of a private psychiatric hospital for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Holcomb has managed multiple regional and statewide technical assistance, evaluation, and clinical services projects for BHC related to health care, human services, and organizational analysis. He teaches graduate level courses in Business and serves as the Senior Expert Consultant on all BHC contracts.

Ms. McCurry is the EQRO Project Director for the Performance Management Solutions Group (PMSG).   She is responsible for overseeing the External Quality Review of the Missouri MC+ Managed Care program and is BHC’s liaison for legal matters.  Ms. McCurry has experience implementing, evaluating, and administering health care service programs.  She has managed contracts and grants for health care service entities, physician practices, and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.  She received her Masters in Health Services Administration from the University of Kansas and her Doctorate of Juris Prudence from Washburn University School of Law.  Ms. McCurry is a licensed Attorney and is admitted to practice law in both Missouri and Kansas.

 

 
Lisa Viero, MA, CPA

Ms. Viero is the Chief Financial Officer for BHC; she oversees all aspects of projects including meeting project completion deadlines and deliverables. She provides financial expertise in performing tax work and operations audits, as well as managing payroll services accounts payable and receivable. In addition, Ms. Viero provides financial consultation services to BHC customers.

Ms. Prater is the Assistant Project Director for the Performance Management Solutions Group (PMSG). She provides support to the EQRO Project Director and performs many of the evaluation and analysis services related to External Quality Review projects.

 

 

Stephani Worts, MBA

Ms. Worts helps to identify and target business opportunities for BHC by reviewing and analyzing Requests for Proposals (RFP's). She coordinates and manages ongoing projects, as well as generates interest in new ones. In addition, she is the Director of IT, providing on-site Information Technology and computing support and all website development services.

Ms.Boyd is an Adult Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Project Director for BHC’s services to Boone County Jail. She has been working in the field of mental health and nursing since 1996 carrying out various tasks such as medication management, counseling, group therapy, teaching, research, consultation and supervision.

 

 
Sarah Froese, MSW

Ms. Froese is a Masters Prepared, Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been involved in the mental health field since 1980.  Her past experience includes working in psychiatric hospitals, advocacy with special needs population, working with inmates in the jail and prison systems as well as consulting on mental health issues across the United States. She is devoted and passionate to the advocacy of the mental health population and provides to the community proudly through serving on boards, teaching, training, and assisting other professionals in the field.
